Love 2 Love 2003
Chapter 9
Released on Audiorec (3/10)
In the 1980s T-Series launched many singers like Anuradha Paudwal, Bipin Sachdeva in India on
the back of producing album with soundtracks from Bollywood films, but unfortunately this album from Audiorec will not achieve that.
Track 1 - Hamne Tumko Dil ye de Diya.
The originally a beautiful track from Gunaah fails to have ay impact in this album. Vocals of
Lopitha Misra and Sagar Malik do not recreate teh feelings of the original song. Sagar Malik has somehow not captured
the feel of the words and hence, does not come across as a deeply sesual track as it should be, but must admit that Lopitha shines on this track, despite not sticking to
the pace of the original. Beat is good and the constant 'chimes' in the background are a distraction and the bass seems to deep/low for this romantic track.
Kya Dil Ne kahaa
(kya tumne sunaa...)
It seems that the vocalists are rushing through the track, although the drum beat is good and the keyboard is perfect for the track. at one point, I believe that I spotted
the vocalists get out of tune ( or were they singing different lyrics).
The soft drums are perfect for this track.
Thoda sa pyar hua hai (thida hai baaki...)
The use of the sitar type sound on the keyboard - was it a half-hearted effort because it kept appearing and disappearing. Or was khiza not sure if he wanted it there?
The vocals are a bit 'echoey'- slightly distracting as it was spoiling the enjoyment of teh song. Overlapping of sounds with different effects was not that appealing either!
Jaane dil mein
(kab se hai tu. Jabse main hun, tabse hai tu...)
Nice intro in the vocals of Sagar Malik and on the keyboard. Again, the keyboard effects are overdone. With this and the drum beats taking over and sending the vocals into the background is not a good sign!! the track appeared to have a very abrupt ending.
Tune zindagi mein
(aake, zindagi, Zindagi badal di...)
Good soft drum and keyboard skills perfectly blend in with soft lyrics on the song.
Juki Ranks' MCing in this track is a bit out of place as the lyrics are on such
a different plane to the lyrics of the song.
The credits for this track(and many others) includes 6 writers. Does it take that many for one track?
Andekhi anjaani si
(pagli si, deewani si...)
Good drum beat again to this track, but the rest of the instruments seem to be a bit out of sync, especially when trying to create some brass 'trombone' type sounds.
A fairly enjoyable track mainly due to the lively lyrics of the song. Grand piano ending is nice!
Kuch bhi nahin, kuch Nahin
(hai, Bin tere kuch nahin hai...)
Again, the vocals and the keyboard seem to be out of sync (or are they on the wrong sound channels?) for most of the song. although, the soft drum beat is good. Vocal efforts of Sagar & Lopitha are also very good.
Tune zindagi mein
(aake, zindagi, Zindagi badal di...)
MALE vocals
Sagar Malik does bring the feeling of the lyrics into this song. Soft drum beat is again effective along with the mild beats with the
cymbals. Vocals of juki Ranks offers a good complimetary mix to the song.
Har taraf
(tu hi tu deekhe...)
Probably the best track on the album!
seems like Khiza has loosened with his keyboard and introduced the full orchestra.
The vocalists have done an excellent job and stretched their vocal chords to the full. The beat is in total synchronicity with the vocals and sounds excellent.
It appears that the album has had an array of producers making the tracks as there seems to be such wide range of effects and quality from some amateurish to
absolute perfection. In order to introduce Bollywood music to the youngsters of today, we will need to put in a little more effort than this album does.
