Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are to be engaged this Tuesday, on December
12. The king Khiladi, will be formally engaged to actress Twinkle Khanna at
her grandmother Betty Kapadia's bungalow in Juhu. The exclusive ceremony
will be attended by close friends and family of the couple.
Akshay has always been written about with regards to his relationships and
this time he's sent a message to those detractors who like to indulge in
gossip about him and talk of his 'extracurricular activities': I'm getting
engaged!
Akshay agreed to have a formal engagement and has even invited some friends
from the media to attend. Twinkle is said to be ecstatic about the grand
engagement which has been welcomed by both families. Preparations have
already started to transform the lawns of the sea-facing bungalow into a
candle lit haven making sure the venue is just as radiant as the
couple. Twinkle will be completing her pending assignments by early next
year, as the marriage is scheduled for the first half of 2001. She is no
longer signing films as Akshay wants her to quit films after marriage. We
wish them both the best and will be sure to catch up with them in the near
future.
